About This Project
DUMPLING stands for “Doing Unfinished Mission Priorities-Leading Influencing Nationals Going.” Your gift will assist long-term workers to equip and mentor new Chinese missionaries, training them to engage other cultures with the gospel in practical-but-life-changing ways. The three-pronged initiative includes (1) developing a deep, local passion for cross-cultural missions through the sending of local missionaries; (2) facilitating the development of sending agencies and processes through which local churches send new Chinese missionaries; and (3) providing on-going mentoring, training and consulting to local mission-sending entities.
Give today to send local Asian Pacific Rim believers to unreached peoples with the gospel!
Why direct giving matters
Giving directly to a missionary team helps fund the specific, on-the-ground needs your missionaries care deeply about—needs that aren't covered by CP and LMCO alone.
Fang* is a global missionary partner (GMP) who DUMPLING trained because of your generosity to this ministry:
“In the past three months, we shared the gospel with 40 – 50 people, and three came to faith! During the past few months of ministry, I had the opportunity to take seminary students out of the classroom and onto the streets of the city to witness.
“At first, many of the students were nervous and cautious because they feared rejection and lacked confidence in sharing the gospel. Yet through repeated practice and mutual encouragement, they gradually overcame their fear, built confidence, and became increasingly proactive.
“Thank God, in the course of the street-witnessing encounters, someone would always stop to listen and sometimes pray a decision-making prayer. The debrief time after each outreach became a vital moment of spiritual formation for the students.”
Over the past five years, DUMPLING has trained over 70 Chinese GMPs to share the gospel. In 2025, they shared the gospel over 4,000 times with 313 accepting Jesus.
Thank you for being “partners in the gospel” as we labor together in equipping East Asian believers to share the gospel with the lost.
Please continue joining us in prayer:
Thank you for giving sacrificially, praying unceasingly, and helping to send more kingdom workers to the nations!

Because of your decision to give to DUMPLING: Asian Missionary Sending Initiative, believers in East Asia are becoming missionaries themselves, propelling the gospel to new people and places. Your gift to the DUMPLING fund is used to help get these brothers and sisters to the mission field.
Your partnership has been instrumental in establishing the world’s first Global Chinese Baptist mission-sending agency, called Huaya International Missions (HIM). The agency was launched in early 2020 to encourage and equip local believers to become missionaries. In addition, three other Baptist Asian sending partners have also joined our effort to send missionaries specifically to partner with IMB teams. These partner-missionaries are “Global Missionary Partners” (GMPs). To date, your giving has helped HIM and these Baptist Asian partners vet and deploy 79 Asian missionaries to 19 countries.
In 2023, God worked through those 79 GMPs to accomplish the following:
Pray for Bo*, sent in December 2023 through your support
“During my first week, I joined a Bible study group immediately with students from different parts of [my location]. I began attending language study classes in my second week. Now, as I reach my fourth week, I am able to venture out on my own to purchase necessities and explore different transportation methods. Although there may be challenges along the way, I am sustained by the grace of God. And I am confident I will experience God more and more. Pray that I am filled with joy as I continue to learn the heart language of these people. Pray for three students we are currently discipling, that they may continue to grow in their faith, even after returning home.”
Upcoming Prayer Needs
Thank you so much for your generosity to the work in East Asia! Your ongoing giving ensures even more laborers will be sent out into the harvest as we start new initiatives and partnerships with Asian churches. We give thanks to God for you!
Thank you so much for your generous support in equipping Chinese believers to go to the nations. Your prayers and sacrificial gifts have been instrumental in setting up the world’s first global Chinese Baptist mission-sending agency!! Your partnership enables us to mentor new Chinese missionaries and train them to engage other cultures with the gospel in practical but life-changing ways.
HuaYu International Missions (HIM) was established in 2020 through the partnership of several Asian conventions and IMB missionaries, using DUMPLING funds. In partnership with you, HuaYu has been able to:
God is Working. In addition, three other Baptist Asian Sending partners have also joined in sending GMPs. Combined with these other partners, God is doing miraculous things:

Plans to Reach the Nations. We are praying about sending 75 new GMPs from Asia Pacific Rim countries worldwide to reach unreached people groups (UPGs) and unengaged, unreached people groups (UUPGs). So far in 2023, 12 have been sent, and 27 are training and should be sent before Summer. In addition, our national partners are launching “Embrace,” a 6-month mission program to disciple local believers to engage in God’s Great Commission. Finally, a new agency called HuaYu 2.0 seeks to send GMPs from closed countries.
Please continue to pray for the DUMPLING project:
Thank you so much for your generosity. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” (Matthew 9:37). Your ongoing giving helps ensure that even more workers will be sent out into the harvest.

Because of your faithful giving and prayers, long-term workers are being sent to those isolated from the gospel.
In the past two years, this project has helped set up a new agency and send 14 new long-term workers in partnership with local Asian churches. A third batch of Asian long-term workers is preparing to go, and as many as 24 will join us for training later this year. We now have local long-term candidates being vetted and sent from five Asian countries representing three local Baptist conventions. All of these are going for 2-to-3-year terms. This year marks the first time this fledgling agency resends one of those long-term workers to serve alongside an IMB team.
In addition, a second local agency is now being created to send long-term workers from “closed” countries that cannot have Baptist conventions. This agency has already approved three families to serve as international missionaries, and several more have signed up. We also partner with local sending agencies from other closed countries to help equip their long-term workers. Crossing cultures is difficult, as is working with an international team. We help these new missionaries thrive in field partnerships that work together to accomplish the Great Commission.
Almost all these long-term workers are serving in closed countries.
In the next five years, a globalization goal of all IMB workers is to mobilize 500 local believers to become global missionary partners serving on IMB teams.
