A Nosu family participates in a sacrificial ceremony in their living room. The ceremony involves the killing of an animal that is placed in their doorway, followed by incantations by a village shaman. The Nosu are an ethnic minority who reside in northern Yunnan and southern Sichuan provinces of southwestern China.
