For 500 years, there has been animosity between Muslim people groups and Filipino Christians. Today, however, believers are sending missionaries to the unreached in their country and beyond. Our team partners with Filipino missionaries who actively love their enemies as they live and serve in Muslim areas, mobilizing churches, sharing the Gospel, discipling new believers, and planting churches.
Meet the Seguros*, a young Filipino family sent out by their church to be full-time missionaries to an unreached people group on an extremely remote island. The church is faithful in praying for them and providing for their daily living expenses through sacrificial giving. However, ministry-related expenses, such as training, mentoring, travel costs, and ministry materials, are difficult for the small church to cover. Your gifts will meet the ministry needs of Filipino missionaries like the Segruros.
Through prayer, love, evangelism, and partnership, we strive hand in hand to see a gospel witness on even the most remote island. Mobilizing Churches to Engage the Unreached
Filipino churches are growing spiritually, and many seek ways to reach out to their Muslim neighbors. Your gift will help IMB teams mobilize churches by printing and distributing prayer guides and training resources, funding mobilization events, and providing prayer walking trips for local believers called to engage the unreached. The goal is to help Philippine churches send out their own missionaries to reach the Muslims in their country.
Partnering with Filipinos in Missions
Our team's vision is to see our people group reached and grouped into multiplying house churches through prayer, love, evangelism, and partnership. God has blessed us with nine Filipino missionaries on our team. Most of their support comes from Filipino churches; however, your gifts will help offset expenses related to their role as church planters, such as travel, training, and housing.
Datu* and Sitti* live on one of the remote islands here in the Philippines. They are faithful believers who lead a Bible study with a group of young people from a Muslim people group.
Many of those who attend the couple’s Bible study are believers, but some are still seekers, drawn to the stories of Jesus but not yet followers.
Your generosity enables Datu and Sitti to share Jesus in this remote area!
Another partner, Ronaldo*, uses sports to engage communities and share the gospel.
He recently baptized three new Muslim-background believers. One was demon-possessed. Ronaldo prayed over him, and the demon left him. The former Muslim now publicly proclaims his faith in Jesus, the one who set him free.
You are helping equip local churches to share Jesus with their Muslim neighbors through your gifts to this ministry.
In addition, Filipino believers are praying for the 13 unreached people groups here.
