Go Impact is an IMB pathway for churches to send high school and college teams to join in the work and strategy of your IMB missionaries!

Overview

Go Impact connects high school church groups with the nations through 1–2 week international youth group mission trips alongside IMB missionaries. The program handles trip logistics from start to finish including flight coordination, visa support, and emergency insurance while equipping leaders with training, preparation resources, and coaching.

Frequently asked questions

Most opportunities will be during the summer and last between 8 to 14 days, including travel. Trips to the Americas and Europe are likely to be 8 days; Africa and Asia are likely to be 13-14 days.

Trips are aimed at high school youth (age 15 and up, or completed the 9th grade), but college students are welcome. Groups must include an adult (age 21 & up) for each five youth (18 & below). The minimum is two adults in a group and one same-sex adult for each sex of youth participating.

Projects will have capacity limits as decided by the missionary host. Most will be in the 15-25 range. A few will have higher capacity.

Trips are priced according to ground costs (lodging, meals, local transportation, ministry expenses). Airfare and visa are additional costs handled by the travel agent. Ground costs range between $650 and $1100, based on length of project and location.

Yes. The travel agent will work to provide the best airfares and arrangements that will avoid problems, monitor country entry requirements, coordinate arrival time with the missionary host, and provide travel assistance to the group. The travel agent will also arrange emergency insurance that will cover participants in case of accidents, illness, or crisis.

No, these trips will be for a groups only, which would require at least two adults to accompany one or more youth.
