“After visiting one Miao family today, we continued to a second household. We had met them before but had never talked about faith. This family has six members: a husband and wife, two young sons, and the grandparents, all living together. Their situation is commonplace. As we shared about faith, the adults had various reasons for not accepting the gospel at this time. Then we noticed their older son, aged 14, lying on the couch. He is ill, unable to care for himself, but fully able to communicate. We shared with him about the best friend of all – Jesus. He willingly chose to receive Him, and his parents respected his personal decision. We prayed with him as he welcomed Jesus into his life. When we left, the whole family came outside smiling to see us off. We continue to pray for this household, trusting that the seed of the gospel planted here will sprout, grow and bear fruit (Mark 4:20). Please pray for this young boy to be strengthened in faith and body (Isaiah 40:31), and that his family’s hearts would, in time, be opened to the truth of Christ (John 6:44). May God bring lasting fruit. Amen.”
