Project Overview

For more than 175 years, IMB missionaries have been sharing the gospel all over the world. While the Great Commission remains the same, the world around us is rapidly changing. Our personnel are engaging all countries of Europe after a global lockdown and during a region-altering war. The instability and isolation missionaries have experienced in recent years have highlighted the need for ongoing support and training for our missionary families to stay healthy and focused on the work to which God has called them. Your gift will enable IMB missionaries in Europe to gather together as families (children included) to receive further training and support to help them thrive on the field.    The EURO training team serves more than 400 missionaries and their families to reinforce a healthy understanding of -their identity in Christ and as missionaries   -a biblical vision to see local stewardship of the missionary task -ways to create a healthy culture in their teams and work -biblical strategies that match the needs of their local field We train the missionary teams through in-person training events, online networks, cohorts, and continuing education courses. It takes more than $250 per missionary per day for in-person training events (about six annually). We bring the whole family to these events so that our children and teens can receive the love and support they need from a community that understands them as TCKs (third culture kids).
