Project Overview

For more than 180 years, IMB missionaries have been sharing the gospel and planting churches all over the world. While the Great Commission and the Missionary Task remain the same, the world around us is rapidly changing. The countries of Europe are caught in a dramatic upheaval through skyrocketing immigration, political uncertainty, and a region-altering war. Throughout this intense period, the question for our missionary teams remains the same: how do we accelerate or catalyze the missionary task among local partners in these challenging times?   Your gift will enable IMB missionaries in Europe to experience the power of ongoing, transformative training to further this work and to thrive on the field.   The EURO Affinity has more than 500 missionaries and their families, all focused on empowering the local church to lead in the Great Commission. Because we’re committed to local stewardship, these trainings will include local partners alongside our IMB missionaries. The trainings will address:    Their identity in Christ and as missionaries A Biblical vision to see local leaders take ownership of evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and training among all the peoples and places of Europe Biblical, practical strategies that match the needs of their respective regions and people groups Clear pathways for multiplying leaders and churches.   We leverage online training methods where possible, but prioritize face-to-face equipping that prepares individuals for practical, on-the-ground ministry. It takes more than $250 a day for a missionary to receive in-person training (and we envision eight annual trainings across Europe).   Generous supporters like you help these events happen through your prayers and giving.
