“It was the honor of a lifetime,” said one veteran missionary who came to volunteer with our team. She saw a group of national missionaries learning another language, one with no Bible resources and only a handful of believers. When they finally created a gospel presentation and a song of praise to the Creator God, this veteran missionary wept for joy that God was receiving praise, possibly for the first time, in that language. That’s what we desire to happen over and over among the peoples of the northern mountains!
These many northern mountain ethnic groups remain unreached because they are hard to access because of road conditions, suspicion of outsiders, and limitations from authorities. When we are among them, other problems arise, such as language and worldview barriers. Many of these people groups are entrenched in fear of evil spirits and have little to no concept of a Creator God.
Your prayers and gifts will help us establish access to these groups, understand their worldviews, and present the gospel in a way they can understand. Your fervent prayers and faithful giving will enable these unreached people groups to have a chance to know and worship the God who created them!
Gifts toward specific efforts show us what you are excited about. Occasionally, we may redeploy gifts as we follow God's leading with urgent opportunities or changing international contexts. Any gifts received beyond the goal go toward a similar project or our team support.
Seed Sowing in the Mountains
One day every tribe and tongue will stand before the throne of the Most High God, but today not every tribe and tongue in the northern mountains has heard the good news. We must send out laborers to learn or record their languages and create oral gospel presentations they will understand. Your gift provide travel and ministry costs for local partners to get to these unreached villages and distribute SD cards and other media across the mountains.
Maintaining Presence to Reach the Peoples
To reach the peoples of the northern mountains, we operate a business as part of our mission that facilitates presence and access to our peoples. What does that look like? Your gift will underwrite the rent and operating costs of the community center which hosts classes and outreach activities, houses a recording studio, and offers other events throughout the year.
Truth in Their Hands
Many of the peoples we seek to reach are located far from us and our partners. While we actively seek other ways to provide a long-term gospel presence, we know that people are dying daily without Christ. But what do so many have access to? Cell phones! Your gift will allow us to bring the reality of Jesus right to their fingertips as we share the hope available through Him through various online platforms.
The goal represents the cost of our team’s ministry activities for this calendar year. The Cooperative
Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® (LMCO) fully fund our living expenses. The goal amount resets
every January 1st. All gifts completed through this form are directed to our team’s ministry strategy.
