Join us in sharing the gospel with hard-to-access transmigrants and refugees seeking better lives and training believers among them to take the gospel to their homelands.
Because of overpopulation in some key parts of our country, the government has assisted people in moving to less densely populated areas. Refugees also seek asylum here as they await permanent resettlement in the U.S., Canada, or Australia. Our team has a unique opportunity to engage difficult-to-reach UPGs as they transition to new lives outside their comfort zone. Your partnership will share the gospel with people who have never heard of a loving Savior who sees their plight, provides for all their needs, and offers salvation.
Our team also has the privilege of mobilizing and training believers from among these groups to reach back into their homeland to impact family, friends, and acquaintances. Although our team focuses on transmigrants and refugees, together, we can reach well beyond these groups in developing work to reach all of the UPGs on the eastern islands of our country and beyond!
Gifts toward specific efforts show us what you are excited about. Occasionally, we may redeploy gifts as we follow God's leading with urgent opportunities or changing international contexts. Any gifts received beyond the goal go toward a similar project or our team support.
Transmigrant Training
Your gift will train and mentor national believers and local churches, teaching them to reach out to transmigrant groups through evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.
Refugee Leadership Development Initiative
Your gift will expand our refugee "small group shepherd" leadership development program, thereby fueling the current church planting momentum to new cities.
Eastern Island Cross-Pollination Initiative
We want to see all teams on the Eastern Islands sharing the gospel, discipling new believers, forming healthy churches, developing leaders, and working towards getting the gospel to all refugees, transmigrants, and UPGs on the Eastern islands. Your gift will survey new ministry areas, on-site personnel visits to eight locations, team leader and national partner training, and yearly gatherings of national partners for spiritual renewal.
Agus* and Siti* are national believers your gifts helped train in leadership. They recently led a team of refugees to a neighboring island on a mission trip.
This was the first mission trip to reach a local unreached people group (UPG) instead of fellow refugees. Because of their language skills, this refugee team ably shared the gospel with this very resistant UPG.
Thank you for enabling Agus and Siti’s refugee mission team to live out the Great Commission. We are looking for other opportunities for this team to reach UPGs.
Your gifts also provide a weekly meal to over 20 South Asian refugees who have recently begun attending a local church.
God has allowed several Central Asian refugee families to resettle in other countries, allowing your generosity to support the families of new church leaders.
Currently, nine believing refugee families attend a local church and participate in a discipleship group and leadership classes.
