Our team lives and serves among a predominantly unreached people group of over 30 million people. The majority of the Sunrise people identify with the country’s primary religion, and while they are devout in their religious beliefs and practices, in reality, they have no real hope in life or death. Many, if not most, of the Sunrise people have never had the good news of hope and salvation that comes only through Jesus explained to them. We want multitudes of Sunrise People to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus and plant churches throughout their communities. We invite you to join us in this mission!
Because of strong cultural ties and hard-to-access communities, reaching the Sunrise People and planting churches among them is not simple. Therefore, our team operates a humanitarian organization that serves communities by meeting urgent physical needs, such as clean water, health education, and disaster relief. Through these efforts, we are welcomed into communities and allowed to address the people’s felt needs and urgent spiritual darkness. As a result, God has saved many people! Now a small scattering of house churches is spread throughout our region.
Our team prioritizes nurturing healthy biblical house churches and house-church networks through discipleship and theological training. We pray that these churches become passionate about God’s Word and share the gospel with their families, friends, neighbors, and communities. Partner with us in this challenging and rewarding work of sharing Christ and establishing His church among the Sunrise People.
Gifts toward specific efforts show us what you are excited about. Occasionally, we may redeploy gifts as we follow God's leading with urgent opportunities or changing international contexts. Any gifts received beyond the goal go toward a similar project or our team support.
Clean Water, Living Water
Each ceramic filter we produce and distribute provides clean and safe drinking water for a family, while also providing us opportunities to share the gospel within communities we would otherwise be unable to enter. Your gift of $25 will sponsor a water filter for a family in need and give us the opportunity to share about the Living Water!
Theological Training for House Church Leaders
Most of the house church leaders are simple farmers from Muslim backgrounds. They need solid theological and leadership training to shepherd their congregations well and lead house church networks wisely. Your gift will help us bring together these church leaders from their various areas to a secure place for a few days of rich training, fellowship, and encouragement.
Gospel Advancement with National Partners
We are blessed with an incredible team of national partners who love God with all their hearts and are called to be ministers of the good news to their own countrymen. These men and women are out daily engaging in evangelism, discipling believers, and encouraging the house churches. Your gifts will help us equip these men and women to fulfill their calling.
The goal represents the cost of our team’s ministry activities for this calendar year. The Cooperative
Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® (LMCO) fully fund our living expenses. The goal amount resets
every January 1st. All gifts completed through this form are directed to our team’s ministry strategy.
