Join our team in spreading the good news of Christ across Yokohama and mobilizing local churches to ‘own’ the Great Commission.
For the Japanese, no greater virtue exists than being unified with the people of their country through their customs, traditions, education, and pathway to success. They are success-driven; many are at school or work for many hours a day, leaving little time for relationships or new friendships. Although Buddhism and Shinto are considered the national religions, many Japanese are guarded toward religion and seek fulfillment through material possessions and relationships. However, if they open up, they often admit that nothing has satisfied them, and fear of the future is paralyzing.
The general consensus that religion is dangerous keeps many from even opening the door to consider who Jesus is and what He has done. God longs for them to know Him and enter the freedom of salvation through Christ, so He has sent our team here, and we invite you to join us in the work in this harvest field.
We are here to share life and genuine relationships with those we meet in the city. We share our testimonies to break down barriers and show how Jesus is our only source of true hope that does not rely on what we do or have but on what Jesus has and has done for us. We host group gatherings for dinner and conversation and use English to connect through their interest in practicing the language while also showing them that we desire to relate deeply with them in their heart language.
Finally, we partner with local Japanese believers, inviting them to share the gospel at these events to refute the lie that following Jesus is “not Japanese.” All these activities are intentionally connected with our local churches to build them up and glorify God as we embrace the Great Commission together. Your prayers and giving are critical to the success of our mission here. Join us in spreading the gospel and bringing light to the darkness of Yokohama!
Gifts toward specific efforts show us what you are excited about. Occasionally, we may redeploy gifts as we follow God's leading with urgent opportunities or changing international contexts. Any gifts received beyond the goal go toward a similar project or our team support.
The goal represents the cost of our team’s ministry activities for this calendar year. The Cooperative
Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® (LMCO) fully fund our living expenses. The goal amount resets
every January 1st. All gifts completed through this form are directed to our team’s ministry strategy.
100% of all gifts received are used overseas as we reach the unreached with the gospel together. Click here to learn how this is made possible through
the Cooperative Program.
Giving to one of our specific team efforts allows us to know what you are excited to see God complete within
our ministry. Occasionally, we may need to redeploy gifts within our team strategy as urgent opportunities
arise, as we do our best to follow God's leading, or adjust to changing international contexts. Any gifts
received beyond the posted goal go toward a similar project or our team support.

Our living expenses are fully provided by generous churches and individuals participating in the Cooperative Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® (LMCO). These gifts enable us to remain on mission without interruption. Your support is a partnership with these churches, providing for us and our colleagues through LMCO. Our team receives recognition when partners give below to make our presence here possible.
