NT: Connecting and Seeking (2027)

Description

In an ancient kingdom deep in the mountains are peoples who are awaiting news of a great Light. Come and join the battle for souls here. You will be a part of a team of diverse generational backgrounds who are operating out of a cultural and language center. We are eager to host students who want to explore what working overseas could look like for them, while also seeking to meet the needs of our team and wider community. Expect to combat spiritual forces directly through strategic prayer walking and be prepared to engage our community in various outreach events, some English themed. In addition to building relationships with the lost in the community, we need students who are ready to be flexible, as our team will be in a season of exciting transition. This job comes with a family style flair as we encourage inter-generational interactions and will have opportunity for you to facilitate a limited VBS event for our MK’s. Other opportunities could include helping team members transition to a new area by way of providing possible supervisional support of MK’s and include traveling adventures. Whether you’re sharing a meal with students, helping children with games and activities, serving a family, exploring local cultural experiences, or simply investing time in meaningful conversations, you’ll play a key role in making connections and building relationships that can have an eternal impact.

Your journey begins with a joint orientation alongside other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama where you’ll receive practical training and build on team relationships before heading to us. Following the summer, you’ll return to the U.S. for a joint debrief to celebrate stories, share what God has done, and reflect on the ways He has worked through and in you. Participants must commit to the entire experience, from orientation through debrief.

Other Requirements

Nehemiah Teams – An 8 week summer opportunity for students over the age of 18. Nehemiah Teams train prior to service in Alabama and return to Alabama at the end of the summer for debriefing.
