NT: ESL Summer Program for Preschool & Elementary Students - Youth & Community Outreach (2027)

Description

Working as an ESL Teacher at a local Preschool and Elementary school , you will do many different jobs. You will be building relationship with students, teachers, and other staff, many of whom are not yet believers. You will be a living example of Christ’s love in the way you serve those around you. Working at the school alongside the other teachers will be your primary area of service, but each evening there are other ministry events that take place. From discipleship groups, ESL tutoring, and sports outreach, you will have many opportunities to build relationships within the local community. You will also have opportunities and be encouraged to create new areas of outreach through sports, games, or whatever areas you are gifted in.

Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your summer of ministry, you will return to the US for a joint debrief… sharing all God has done over the summer. Participants must commit to the entire program from orientation through the end of debrief.

Other Requirements

Nehemiah Teams – An 8 week summer opportunity for students over the age of 18. Nehemiah Teams train prior to service in Alabama and return to Alabama at the end of the summer for debriefing.
