NT: Hope Across Borders: Central Asia Refugee Team

Spend your summer living on mission in the heart of Southeast Asia. Join our team as we build relationships with Central Asian refugees—people from places where access to the gospel can be incredibly difficult. You won’t spend your summer watching ministry happen. You’ll be part of it. You’ll meet people in their homes, share meals and stories, serve practical needs, help with community activities, build genuine friendships, and look for natural opportunities to share the hope of Jesus. You’ll learn what it means to cross cultures, listen well, serve humbly, and communicate the gospel with people from a Muslim heritage. Our goal is simple: love people well, meet them where they are, and help them take one step closer to following Jesus. Along the way, you’ll experience the incredible cultural diversity of Southeast Asia, serve alongside long-term field workers, and learn what everyday life and ministry among the nations can look like. Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your summer of ministry, you will return to the US for a joint debrief… sharing all God has done over the summer. Participants must commit to the entire program from orientation through the end of debrief.

Other Requirements

Nehemiah Teams – An 8 week summer opportunity for students over the age of 18. Nehemiah Teams train prior to service in Alabama and return to Alabama at the end of the summer for debriefing.
