Build meaningful relationships and engage an underserved community with the hope of the gospel. Hear someone’s story and share yours. Engage a poor community with the gospel and discover how to best serve them. Watch the word of God come alive. We need your heart for people! No need for experience. Build relationships, share the gospel, and see His city transformed! Ministry will take place at a community center in one of the poorest and densely populated neighborhoods in Senegal. Some of the things volunteers will participate in are connecting with local young adults, developing projects to serve the community, organizing fun activities, building relationships, teaching English classes when needed, and spending time in the local community. Come use your gifts and talents as you learn culture and language here!
Residency – An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Residents are trained together with their cohort at orientation before deploying to their place of service. Residents then return all together for debrief at the end of their term. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1. For active members of Southern Baptist churches, travel to/from Orientation/Debrief, lodging and food during orientation/debrief, travel to/from the field, and emergency insurance is covered. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset travel-related costs and may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general.
