Here on the Eastern Frontier we have almost 514 million in population. It would be considered the 3rd largest country in the world and adds almost 20,000 people per day. At that rate to reach 2% of the population that would mean 16 churches would need to be planted per day! In this area of South Asia we have 194 remaining Unreached Unengaged People Group’s (UUPGs) who remain unreached. Many who have never heard the name of Jesus! Are you willing to go to these hard to reach places to find these people who have never heard? On the Ends of the Earth team you will… 1. Help with focus and strategy in reaching these UUPGs 2. Help initiate and/or train the Core Missionary Task (Entering into new places, Evangelism, Discipleship, Church Formation, Leadership Development, and Exit to partnership) 3. Help teams and national partners track quality and quantity of the CMT
Residency – An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1.
