Description

Enter into conversations so that the good news of Jesus Christ can be made known to those who have never heard. You would be serving in a country with a landscape that’s almost amazing as its people. You will be a part of a team that engages the lost daily with the good news of Jesus. As you build relationships, it will be essential to follow up regularly and share stories of hope from God’s Word in a way they understand–sharing the special things of Jesus and how He is unique! The hope is that groups would form and discipleship amongst these groups would start by the Lord’s working and using you for His kingdom. You will also get to explore the various regions of this beautiful country which will help gather further information on the people and how the Good News is spreading. This is groundbreaking work in a dense place that is amazingly beautiful but spiritually dark! Dive into the Work the Lord is doing by carrying the light of the gospel to a dark place!

Other Requirements

Residency – An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Residents are trained together with their cohort at orientation before deploying to their place of service. Residents then return all together for debrief at the end of their term. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1. For active members of Southern Baptist churches, travel to/from Orientation/Debrief, lodging and food during orientation/debrief, travel to/from the field, and emergency insurance is covered. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset travel-related costs and may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general.
