A group of boys play dominoes across the street from a Baptist church in the Dominican Republic. The Haitian congregation, a part of the Dominican Baptist Convention, started both a bakery and a barber shop on the church’s corner lot to draw people to the church and to help members make a living. Typical of many pastors there, the congregation’s pastor works a construction job during the day.
