Two young men bathe in the polluted waters of the Ganges River as a multitude of pilgrims cross on temporary bridges to attend Kumbh Mela, a festival held in Prayaraj, India. The festival observes a period of time in which Hindus believe they can bathe at the confluence of holy rivers to be cleansed of their sins.
