South Korean Pastor Han Ki Man dreamed of starting a church on Seoul’s Yoido island. With money from selling most of his own possessions and aid from the local Baptist convention, he started Yoido Baptist Church in 1972 with
18 members. By 1985, the church had grown to more than 3,500 members, with several thousand more attending regularly.
