In Chinese communities throughout the Asia-Pacific Rim, Tomb Sweeping day will be celebrated on the same day as Easter this year. For many, this is a time to honor their ancestors and clean up around the gravesite, for others, offerings are made to help the ancestral spirits in the afterlife. Pray for believers during this time to find ways to honor their ancestors without worshiping them. As Christians joyfully celebrate an empty tomb, pray the peace and comfort they have will be evident to those around them and that they will be quick to share the reason they rejoice. Ask God to give wisdom to churches as they create opportunities for members to discover ways to honor their ancestors and honor God during this time.
