Asian Pacific Rim Unengaged Peoples

The Tai Pong of China live in southwestern China near the Vietnam border. They have lived among the Hani and the Han of China for so long that, today, there is very little to distinguish them from others. Traditional dress and festival celebrations are seldom seen. They were not influenced by Buddhism, but instead have retained their animistic practices. The younger generations have mostly become atheists. Though Christian activity began among them in the early 20th century and a church was begun, the Christians today are found in only a few areas, and most Tai Pong have never heard of Jesus. Will you pray for them to know God and put their trust in Him alone? Pray for the younger generation who have turned away from religious beliefs to respond to the hunger in their hearts and seek God.
