(ben-GAH-lee) – Jose and Nellie have been meeting with Lex, a young Muslim man who works at a nearby grocery store. While they had a good casual relationship, one day recently they guided the conversation deeper to more spiritual topics. Jose and Nellie spent several hours with Lex discussing faith, forgiveness, and salvation, both Christian views and his beliefs. During their next conversation, they hope to give him a Bible. They desire to gently and clearly present the uniqueness of Jesus — His role as the perfect sacrifice — and how true forgiveness and assurance of eternal life cannot be attained through works, but through Jesus’ sacrifice alone. Pray that their schedules can mesh in God’s perfect timing. Ask that their next meeting will be led by the Holy Spirit, enabling them to share with wisdom, love, and clarity while the Lord prepares Lex’s heart. Pray that Lex will experience a personal encounter with the Lord, resulting in his understanding the assurance of eternal life through Jesus, the perfect and sufficient sacrifice. Pray for Jose and Nellie as they share the gospel with those whom they meet while raising three daughters.
