Many believers take short trips to support churches in difficult-to-reach places but often feel as if they can do very little. Eden’s testimony helps to correct that myth. As a new college student, Eden was searching for truth in a world that seemed full of lies. The local religion had let her down. She looked online and read about other religions. She remembered the New Testament that a stranger, a visiting believer, had given her years ago. She began to read it and was saved. The summer before Eden’s baptism, a group of visiting believers met Anna and shared the gospel. In the fall, she met another group of visiting believers. Neither group spoke Anna’s heart language. Both groups continued a long-distance relationship with her. Through these relationships, Anna heard about Eden’s baptism and wanted to witness it. Anna saw the church community gather around Eden and celebrate her new life in Christ. She also went to a church service and greatly enjoyed it. Pray for both of these women to grow in their understanding of who God is. Also pray for more visiting believers to go and share what they can with lost people despite language or cultural differences.
