“I used to be in a toxic relationship. Then a family member invited me to church,” one college student transparently shared in front of hundreds. “Jesus set me free from patterns of addiction. Jesus gave me a new life.” With your prayer support, the youth worship night in June went well. God brought together a team of college students from the United States and local musicians to lead a night filled with praise. The youth team put an incredible drama to the tune of Casting Crowns “Set Me Free,” depicting how sin chains people. After a powerful message from John 8 by another American student, the more than 300 students who attended were given an opportunity to make a commitment to the Lord. Hundreds more watched the livestream later. Nights like this are a rare occurrence. It was the first time in over two years that a gathering took place in the Coffee People area. Pray that God that will work through what was shared by each student, and that He will deliver young people out of the chains of sin and darkness. May the students who brought non-Christian friends continue to have conversations about the gospel.
