(DER-bun) – “Home school, private school, boarding school, international school, or national school: Some missionary families have multiple options to educate their children, while others have only one option. Won’t you please take the time to pray for our missionary kids (MKs) and their families as many of them begin a new school year this month? South Africa and many of the other countries where our missionaries serve run on a January through December school year calendar, which is very different from what we are used to in the United States. Please pray for these MKs, as many will be encountering new teachers, new student groups, new friends, new routines, and maybe even totally new ways of doing school! Pray for the parents as they seek to shepherd their children well through these transitions. ‘Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand’ (Isaiah 41:10 ESV).”
