“The Greater Toronto Area (GTA), often called ‘The Big Smoke’ for its industrial roots, is a vibrant metropolis considered by many to be North America’s most diverse city. With world-class sports teams, prestigious universities, and a bustling global business scene, Toronto attracts students, immigrants, and professionals from around the world. Our mission is to lead these individuals–especially the 700,000 ethnic Chinese residents–toward discovering hope in Christ as they build their lives here. This community includes international students attending the GTA’s 50 globally recognized secondary schools, as well as families who have left everything behind to pursue a brighter future. They bring with them aspirations, resilience, and a longing for meaningful connection–needs the church is uniquely positioned to meet. While there are existing Chinese churches in the GTA, they are not enough to meet the spiritual needs of this growing population. Partnerships with local churches, dedicated team members, and passionate volunteers, will help build relationships, offer support, and proclaim God’s grace in order to help ethnic Chinese residents and students find lasting hope and purpose.
