Walking alongside the African churches is critical for the Lead Global Training Team in identifying African partners and seeing them successfully sent as missionaries to the nations. It is the church that disciples new believers to maturity. The church’s commitment to the gospel going forth to the nations spurs its members toward understanding God’s heart for the nations and the need for obedience in obeying the Great Commission. It’s the church that will pray and financially support African partners. Please pray for the African churches. Pray that leaders will guide their churches well and have a passion for the gospel. Ask that they will send missionaries from their churches for the sake of the gospel. Pray that they will give their time and money sacrificially to those who are called to go. This month, the Baptist Convention of Kenya will have its annual meeting. Members from the Lead Global Training Team will attend. Pray for the team to have positive interactions with those leaders and the opportunity to cast a vision and encourage them in supporting missions. Pray that the churches of the convention will respond appropriately and in obedience to how the Lord is leading each of them.
