Leah has lived in her new country for some time now and has been building friendships as well as church partner relationships. Recently, Leah led discussions with local church leaders about evangelism. While some are eager to learn to share the gospel with their neighbors, there are obstacles. Christians here number less than 2% of the population. The many small villages and difficult mountainous terrain make gathering together challenging. Leah writes: “Oppression, lack of education, and the lack of resources and Bible teachers…I can’t really blame them [for their lack of discipleship and enthusiasm]. The challenge for me now is how to help these believers and walk them through this missional journey together. On my own, this seems like a huge, impossible task. But I’m holding on to God’s grace, trusting that He will give me wisdom every step of the way. Pray for a local partner couple who recently expressed interest in becoming more fully engaged with sharing the gospel. Pray that God will help me find a small used car for my ministry travels to different villages, mountains, and cities.” Please join us in praying for Leah and her mountains–both literal and figurative.
