Pray for Bishara, who has grown up in Jesus’ hometown, surrounded by beautiful churches and stunning artwork depicting Christian stories. Despite being immersed in the trappings of Christianity, he has never heard the gospel message of salvation and redemption through Jesus Christ. This is a reality for many in the Holy Land, where the outward signs of faith are abundant but the true message of Jesus’ love and sacrifice is often unknown. As is written in Romans 10:14 (ESV), “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?” Pray that this man and others like him will have the opportunity to hear the gospel and respond to the love of Jesus. Ask God to raise up faithful witnesses who will share the message of salvation with those who have not heard, and pray that He will open the hearts of those who are receptive to the good news. May the beauty of the churches and artwork in the Holy Land be a catalyst for spiritual curiosity, and may many Israeli Arabs come to know the true beauty of Jesus’ love and redemption.
