Over 35 million people are expected to visit Italy and particularly Rome this year due to the Catholic celebration of the Year of Jubilee. Pilgrims are traveling to certain designated churches to receive a “plenary indulgence,” or forgiveness of their sins. Ask that those who come seeking forgiveness of sin through their actions will meet with believers, hear or read Scripture, or even be drawn to Jesus through dreams, and come to know the truth. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast,” (Ephesians 2:8-9). Lift up the Italy Team as they face the daily reality of floods of people. Ask that there will be many volunteers to help and an unprecedented unity among evangelical believers as they do evangelism and discipleship.
