Missionary Explorers, Project 3000

“My ministry partner and I went with a national believer into a neighborhood where people follow a mystical version of Islam,” missionary explorer Tommy Jay said. “It was a difficult and dark environment, but we praised God for the opportunity to plant gospel seeds in some really hard soil. After entering the neighborhood, a man selling food on the side of the road asked if we wanted to have tea with him. Soon afterwards, some of his neighbors gathered around us, curious as to why we were visiting. We conversed about their Muslim/mystic beliefs and then shared the message of the gospel with a group of them who seemed receptive to listening. Please be praying for this neighborhood and for local believers to be burdened to engage this people group. Now, we are traveling to a different city to look for more of these people so that we can better understand how many are in the country. Lord willing, we will come back to our current location in a couple weeks for more evangelism opportunities. Please pray for the believers here to be bold witnesses for the gospel and for the Lord to strengthen us as we continue on our journey.”
