Mumbai, India

(moom-BYE) – Mumbai has been, for many years now, one of the world’s largest cities, consistently cracking the top 10 in terms of population. By some estimates, the city boasts as many as 28 million people, with about 1,450 people being added (through birth and migration) daily. Only about 1% of this population is evangelical Christian, meaning that out of the potential 260 people who die every day in Mumbai, only two or three of them will likely be with Jesus in paradise. The task of sharing the gospel with the people of Mumbai is huge, but God is bigger. Pray that God will bless the Church in Mumbai with great boldness and love for their lost neighbors, and pray that churches will be rapidly planted in a faithful way as the city grows exponentially larger. Pray that the masses of lost people there will recognize their need for a Savior and seek that in Christ Jesus. Pray for more laborers for such an abundant harvest.
