Many Muslim women in the “Valley of Treasures” feel like they have no value. This belief can be reinforced by how those in their families and communities treat them. They may have their lives monitored or controlled by the men in their home. Their husband may choose to take a second wife alongside the first. But God has created each woman in His own image, giving them inherent value. And those who receive Christ and believe in His name are given “the right to become children of God” (John 1:12 ESV)! Pray for women in the “Valley of Treasures” to hear about God’s love for them and to find their identity in Jesus as His followers. Pray that believing families will be good witnesses as they proclaim and show the difference Jesus has made in their lives. Pray for women to be able to share testimonies like that of the bleeding woman in the Book of Luke who, after touching Jesus’ garment in faith to be made well, received complete healing, being made clean for the first time in 12 years, and heard Jesus say to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace (Luke 8:48 ESV).
