(NAH-goh-yah) – Recently, Esther went prayerwalking with her friend. Since this was her first time going on a prayerwalk, they first talked about what prayerwalking is and how to do it. She was very excited and eager to get started. As they walked, they prayed for their neighbors to desire to know Jesus and have a desire to study the Bible. They also prayed for their friends who live in their neighborhood. They prayed for the children in the kindergarten which is next to a Buddhist temple. They prayed for people they passed as they walked. Afterwards, they debriefed the experience. Esther said that she sometimes prays while she is out, but this was different. It was deeper and was more focused on the people who live around her. Praise the Lord for giving Esther a heart that desires to follow Him in prayer. Please pray for Esther as she continues to prayerwalk her neighborhood. Pray that she will meet “people of peace” (Luke 10:6) who are searching for meaning in life and that she will desire to read the Bible. “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” (James 5:16 ESV).
