Ibrahim lives in a large city. While on his way to the market, he encountered some believers and stopped to talk with them. He had recently accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, so Ibrahim was delighted to see that one of the believers had a New Testament written in his mother tongue, a Berber language of North Africa! Expressing his joy, he immediately took the book and opened it to the Epistle to the Romans. Ibrahim and one of the believers quickly engaged in a thoughtful discussion about God’s Word. Ibrahim read verse by verse from Romans. He translated it for the believer and shared how profound and timeless the verses were. Ibrahim explained how the faith of his homeland had always been difficult for him, but added that Christianity and the gospel message encouraged him to stay strong. Pray for Ibrahim, asking that he will be strengthened and matured by the Word of God. Ask God to bless him and deepen his faith. Pray that North African believers will proclaim truth to all the peoples throughout the region. Pray that God will draw many to salvation through faithful witnesses.
