(pah-MEER-ees) – The Southern Border People are a small and relatively unknown people group. In one corner of a little valley along a river, only around 2,000 people in a couple of villages still speak their language. Their houses, villages, and culture look almost identical to that of the people groups around them. They farm wheat, grow what vegetables they can from irrigation in the river valley that they call home, and send many of their young people off to work abroad. Very little work has been done directly to offer them the gospel or work on translating the good news into their heart language. Please pray for the Southern Border People, asking that they will respond to what they have heard and that more believers will be able to access them and share clearly with them the good news of Jesus. Pray that this year, the work among them in one of their largest villages will lead to clear understanding of the gospel and members of this people group responding in faith. (If your church would like to commit to praying for the Southern Border People on a consistent and frequent basis, please send an email indicating that.)
