(JAHR-kuhnd) – Last fall, you were asked to pray for Sarita, a tribal young woman from Jharkhand who’d “caught the vision” of training other women in disciple making. She’s now busy studying for exams so she can get a degree to be a licensed counselor. She’s already taken two exams and has one more to go. Mental health issues are prevalent in India, and Christian counselors are very difficult to find. Pray that Sarita will gain admission to a good university so she can get this degree. As is often the case with Christian youth, studying has taken Sarita away from the ministry that she’d been doing. Pray that God will help her to balance studying with continuing to steward the discipleship relationships she had begun. She’s hoping to be able to follow up with the women’s discipleship groups after her exam. Since she’ll be leaving Jharkhand for her education, pray that she’ll be able to raise up others who can continue the gospel work in that state. Ask that women from within the groups that Sarita has been training will rise up to take leadership roles. Pray that God will use Sarita to spread the gospel and make disciples in her next location.
