Peoples of the Konkan Coast, India

(KAHN-kin) – The Dhori are an indigenous people numbering approximately 2,300 who live north of the city of Mumbai, India. They speak the Dhodia language, and their primary religion is Hinduism. While they participate in regular Hindu festivals, they are not tied strongly to their community. Pray that the Lord will raise up bold evangelists from this group to lovingly share with Dhori people and those in their nearby communities. Pray that the Dhori people will desire deep fellowship and community alongside believers who are caring and generous.
