Peoples of the Mahakoshal Region, India

(MUH-huh-KOH-shul) – Mahakoshal covers the southern area of the middle state in India called Madhya Pradesh. The capital is the city of Bhopal, and there are many other cities and villages in the surrounding hills, valleys, and jungles. There are more than 16 million people in the 13 districts in this area of the state, and there are over two dozen unreached people groups (UPGs) and unengaged, unreached people groups (UUPGs). Most of the population is Hindu, but there is also a large Muslim segment. In fact, Bhopal itself is about half Muslim. Please pray for the salvation of the peoples of the Mahakoshal region of India.
