(uh-SOM) – Swarna is a young woman who is a Hindu, but not a practicing one. Whenever she spends time with a believing friend, she expresses her dissatisfaction with religion. “What religion does is try to profit financially from the poorest. It’s a fraud, a robbery. Christians, over the years, have bought those who now say that they are believers through their schools, through their nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), etc. Indians, in order to lessen their needs, have accepted and embraced Christianity for those benefits,” she asserts. But one day in the middle of such a conversation, a question arose: “Who is God for you?” When her believing friend told Swarna the story of Jesus, she listened attentively but remained skeptical. In the end, the believer told her that she would pray for her right there. Please pray for all the people who, like Swarna, have experienced the fraud of those who have commercialized the gospel. Ask for mercy for those who have been deceived, and pray that God will break the hearts of the false evangelists and teachers.
