(sow toh-MAY ee PRIHN-sih-pih) – Agriculture is the backbone of the economy of São Tomé e Príncipe, and cocoa is their main export. The country, the second smallest in Africa, is known as a peaceful and safe place. The agrarian society and peaceable nature of the people can create a sense of well-being that lulls people into thinking that they don’t need God. Pray for the people of São Tomé e Príncipe to recognize that they are created to love and honor God and that the only way to do this “in spirit and truth” (John 4:24 ESV) is through a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
