It has been over a year since the war in Sudan began. There continues to be sobering news of incredible suffering. Please pray for the women of Sudan. There are reports of women being assaulted and attacked. Many are being forced into relationships and marriages against their will. Other women are caring for their children without a source for food, lodging, or employment. They are widows or women separated from their husbands because of the war. Many women in Sudan are desperate. “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30 ESV). Pray for help and protection for these women. Pray for them to find rest in the Lord and for their suffering to cease. Pray for peace in Sudan.
