Aaliyah is a believer but her husband, Kareem, is not. Early in their marriage, he was very conservative religiously and controlling, but then one day, he quit going to the mosque to pray. A few years ago, he got serious about it again, especially during the Islamic month of Ramadan. Recently, he met a new local friend in a cafe who has been sharing truth with him, and it seems that Kareem is more open to hear. He is now going to the mosque only on Fridays instead of every day. Aaliyah is praying that the Lord will continue to open his heart and mind to be willing to hear and accept the truth of the gospel. She is fighting fear that he will not only reject the faith, but also reject her because she believes. Pray that the Father will continue softening Kareem’s heart and draw him to believe in Jesus. Pray that Aaliyah will be faithful to pray for her husband and live as an example of Christ before him. Ask the Lord to comfort her in her fear and protect her.
