As the Islamic midday call to prayer rang out and found its way through open windows, believers were overwhelmed by the weight of the lostness and darkness around them. Men up and down the street closed their shops, grabbed their prayer rugs, and began their walk to pray. Everyone around the believers were diligent and committed to their prayers. It is their light–but it is utter darkness. Jesus said, “But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” (Matthew 6:23 ESV). Oh, how great is this darkness in the Twin Cities! These cities are full of those who live and die in unforgiven sin, and they will live and die in darkness without Christ to forgive and transfer them from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. Pray that God will open the eyes of those in the Twin Cities and allow them to see the light of the gospel. Ask that believers will boldly share the gospel more than ever before and that men and women will wholly commit their lives to Jesus Christ.
