(WAH-soo-loo) – Out of necessity, part of the Wassulu workers’ labors have changed direction for now while the nation of Mali is living under a cloud of uncertainty. Pastors who work with the Wassulu or serve among various Wassulu villages are struggling, as the prices for food and common goods have skyrocketed — if they can even be found. The terrorist and separatist groups working together have used blockades to pressure the millions living in the capital city. Additionally, they have attacked truckers, burned goods, and instilled fear along common trucking routes, including a main artery through the Wassulu region in and from neighboring Guinea, where other Wassulu live. Pray as the Wassulu workers continually assess and assist Malian harvest laborers, pastors, widows, and others during these difficult times. Petition for wisdom as they continue in ministry with the same biblical goals, but perhaps modified objectives and methods. Ask the Lord to continue to provide the means to assist these beloved people, and pray that the gospel will spread among those who are struggling. Pray that if it be His will, the Lord will intervene and resolve the intense problems in Mali.
