One of every ten children dies of diarrheal diseases in this area of Southeast Asia because their homes and schools have no access to clean water. Other children are chronically sick, dehydrated and unable to thrive because of these conditions. Your gift will provide ceramic water filters to homes and schools to stop these preventable diseases and deaths. Just $25 will provide one filter to a family or classroom, installed by believers who share the gospel with the family and community.
Christian workers trained in community health and evangelism return to each home or school to help change the filter as a demonstration of God’s love, care and compassion and again share the gospel of salvation through Jesus. Clean water changes lives physically and opens the door to change lives spiritually as people learn of the Living Water.
Project coordinators identify rural villages with no access to clean water and assess their needs. Local believers then transport water filters to schools and homes and offer them at affordable rates; widows and those who cannot pay each receive a free filter. The team of believers follows up with each community to teach them to clean and care for the filters and to share the gospel again. This project leads to changed communities, healthy schools, better futures, and many opportunities to hear the Good News. Filters Open Doors into Impoverished Ethnic Minority Groups. In the most hard-to-reach areas of Southeast Asia, the minority groups live far from health centers, markets, piped water systems, and the good news. Some of these people are tribal and animistic in their beliefs, while others are Muslim mixed with animism. Whatever their spiritual beliefs, we see a spirit of darkness, fear, and isolation. We have entered five new ethnic minority villages already this year. Because of your gifts, our team has had many opportunities to share the gospel and help people without access to clean drinking water.

From Water Filters to Church
During COVID, the government gave our organization permission to distribute water filters to those in need. A local region with no believers had a great need for clean water, but the people there also thirsted for the good news. A year later, a church has begun in that region. God has worked amazing miracles and those who believe cannot stop talking about their love for Jesus! Hearing their testimonies and seeing their tears reminds me of the night and day difference salvation makes in the lives of those who hear and receive him.

How do we get the good news of Christ into minority Islamic groups in our country? This question has been asked for years about these unreached people who have no churches in their area. Enter our team's water filter ministry.
In the past year, we were able to provide water filters to two new areas. As a result, the people living in the more than 800 homes in those communities now have clean water and health teaching, and, most importantly, they have heard the good news--many for the first time!
In this coming year, we will increase our efforts to get clean water to minority groups in need, provide health teaching and share our faith. We are excited to continue this work in 2022 and hope to intervene in many more villages. Join us in this God-sized adventure! This vast region houses four of the most populous global cities, as well as the country with the world's largest nominal population of Muslims.
Spirituality swirls through cities and countryside like the smoke from temple incense sticks. Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, animists, Daoists and ancestor worshipers live here, comprising 851 unreached people groups who have never heard that freedom is found in Christ. Pray for divine appointments for Christian workers to share that Jesus is the way to peace with God and eternal life.
