About This Project
One of every ten children dies of diarrheal diseases in this area of Southeast Asia because their homes and schools have no access to clean water. Other children are chronically sick, dehydrated and unable to thrive because of these conditions. Your gift will provide ceramic water filters to homes and schools to stop these preventable diseases and deaths. Just $25 will provide one filter to a family or classroom, installed by believers who share the gospel with the family and community.
Christian workers trained in community health and evangelism return to each home or school to help change the filter as a demonstration of God’s love, care and compassion and again share the gospel of salvation through Jesus. Clean water changes lives physically and opens the door to change lives spiritually as people learn of the Living Water.
Project coordinators identify rural villages with no access to clean water and assess their needs. Local believers then transport water filters to schools and homes and offer them at affordable rates; widows and those who cannot pay each receive a free filter. The team of believers follows up with each community to teach them to clean and care for the filters and to share the gospel again. This project leads to changed communities, healthy schools, better futures, and many opportunities to hear the Good News.
