About This Project
“I want that! I want to be saved right now!” the Persian woman shouted out during the church service, interrupting the speaker.
This woman followed Christ as her Savior after only a few weeks of attending services at the Oasis Refugee Center. She started coming to the center to study English as a Second Language and then began attending a women’s church group and seeker’s class. She came to church because of relationships built through English class and now she has found Christ and is being disciples by Persian believers.
Your gift to the Oasis Refugee Center will enable long-term personnel to connect with Persians through training seminars and much-needed Greek and English classes for refugees. These programs opportunities for relationship building and evangelism. Your partnership will also fund discipleship and leadership training for Persian believers. God is moving and drawing Afghans and Iranians into relationships with Himself. Give today to spread his fame to Persian refugees who are searching for the hope and love only Christ offers.
Why direct giving matters
Giving directly to a missionary team helps fund the specific, on-the-ground needs your missionaries care deeply about—needs that aren't covered by CP and LMCO alone.
Thank you so much for your generous support of our team and Persian refugees we strive to reach. Because of your prayers and sacrificial giving, we are sharing the gospel with refugees at the Oasis Refugee Center. In addition, we use community-development training to match seekers and believers with discipleship communities.
The nations are coming to Europe, particularly from hard-to-reach places, many of which are hostile to the gospel. The Oasis Refugee Center offers a strategic entry point into unreached Persian communities in our city. Language classes welcome new refugees into our city by providing them with a much-needed service. Because of our partnership with you, we connect with new Persians each week, strategically engaging them with the gospel in their heart language. For those who choose to follow Christ, the local Persian church disciples, baptizes, and trains the new believers. Our presence in this church not only aids with entry and evangelism among the unreached but also in discipleship and training Persian believers and church leaders.
Ariana’s* Story. Through The Oasis, we become spectators to many people’s stories, like Ariana’s. She fled her country due to ethnic persecution. She always wondered about Jesus, but her family punished her whenever she tried to ask questions or learn more about Him. Her friend invited her to a free English class at The Oasis one day. Her English teachers spoke her heart language and were very patient and caring. The Oasis volunteers prayed for her in the name of Jesus and invited her to come to an event for women to hear stories from the Bible. She came, listened to the good news about Jesus, and asked questions. The following week, she came again. Finally, she expressed her desire to follow Jesus and be baptized. The Persian believers in the church began to disciple her as she grew in her faith.
Thank you for your generosity and prayers. Ariana’s is just one of many stories of how God uses The Oasis for His glory. There are many unreached Persian men and women in this city.
