Ministry results have been encouraging. Three local believers who led the pilot project shared the gospel with more than 1,000 individuals in the first year. They led 30 people to faith in Jesus Christ and started two new house churches. The families of these three men have not bought vegetables from the local market since they planted their gardens. Because of their success, neighboring villages are requesting training and assistance with planting FAITH gardens. Your gift will allow more church planters to have a simple means of providing for their families and an excellent tool to build relationships in their target unreached villages.
Other ongoing humanitarian issues in the villages that local pastors and church leaders identified includes the need for low-cost household water filtration systems. Water filter teams are now ready to share Living Water with every household that receives a filter. Also, during the cool season, some villagers living in the mountains are at risk of hypothermia. Every year, church leaders distribute blankets to those at risk and host Christmas parties in unreached villages. The warmth of a blanket does not compare to the warmth of Christ’s embrace.
