Elderly Chinese men socialize after exercising in a public park. Countless Chinese, especially the middle-aged and elderly, have developed the habit of exercising each morning to improve their health. Gathering in large parks at sunrise, participants stretch, walk backwards, walk on cobblestones for pressure points in the feet, do tai chi and play games to improve the mind and body. Participants use the time to keep their bodies healthy but also to socialize with friends.
