Roger Arienda shares with prisoners during meal time at New Bilibid Prison, which housed 8,000 inmates near Manila, Philippines, in 1980. Convicted in 1972 as a communist agitator in possession of illegal weapons, Arienda became a Christian in 1975, then an evangelist to fellow inmates. He was guided in his Christian growth by Filipino pastor Larry Macasero and Southern Baptist missionaries Howard and Marjorie Olive.
